Any company who can't afford the liability shouldn't be in the business anyway. They are putting their workers and the rest of the nation at risk.
I'm still against this as an anti-trust issue. We do NOT need the largest cable company taking over one of the four "broadcast" networks, or movie studios, or anything else.
Where are the anti-trust laws....I love that quote....buy the company because we can profit more from the higher electric rates in that area of the country......not what they can do to LOWER electric rates for everyone.
Too bad this same company hasn't done similar reports on the new Intel chips for their "cost" vs. their retail market price. i5 at TigerDirect $199.99, i7 $279.99 or any of the other electronics out there.
Hmmm, another foreign company with mining rights on Indian land. Why did the Bureau ever grant this company mining rights on US soil?
Hmmmm, I wonder how many people who voted for him will be out of work with his proposed budget cuts and how many will be sorry when they lose that property tax rebate.
Where's the anti-trust here? B&D has already bought out DeWalt in the past. Now Stanley is buying out them? I suppose this deal will go through because Stanley hasn't been into power tools that much yet.
The question is how much of that inventory replacement will be from US factories vs foreign sources. We need to DRASTICALLY slow down our overseas sources and rebuild our American products.
Just as they did with home fueling stations for NG vehicles, Honda is already working on home fueling stations for hydrogen. They are way ahead of all of the other auto manufacturers in technology for the fueling side of fuel-cell technology.
Of course they are switching to Windows 7. VISTA was a total disaster and it has been nearly impossible to buy a PC with anything other than VISTA for the past 3 years. IF you try to change the operating system, the computer manufacturer will VOID YOUR WARRANTEE.
Sounds like another case of the complaints about government care for illegal aliens and their US born children, that we the taxpayers end up paying for. The story doesn't say that they are illegal, but the way it is worded, the reader can easily assume that.
Where are the anti-trust laws??? How many more of these "mergers" are we going to continue to see? Just one more power grab by big industries.
I agree.....whatever happened to the Anti-Trust laws? Don't they apply to financial institutions???? It sure seems to me that most of these big banks violated the AT in buying up so many smaller banks.
Maybe, JUST MAYBE, Mr. Hintz, your former company has learned something from their past mistakes, unlike the other Wall Street jerks who are still robbing the American public blind.
just another sign of their greed.....wonder how soon they will be back for another hand-out when the same people they are trying to retain and who were responsible for the first go-around mess get them back into another mess????? Why does ANY banker need to make more that $100k p …
hmmmm, American-made or American Big Three....which may not actually be truly American made?? Remember many Honda and Toyota models are now truly American-made. Just look at the cars rolling off the Honda assembly lines in Ohio.
wow, nice headline on bloomberg.com......waiting to see what the story actually has to say.
more of the same "bigger is better" philosophy that got us into this current mess.....why do these big corporations insist they need to keep building so many new subdivisions in an already overloaded market???? And then charging over-inflated prices for them.
maybe the unions should get ready to make an offer to buy the assets in bankruptcy and run their own company, or buy up closed plants and start their own manufacturing system. Then they will soon find out just what their high wages and benefits have cost them in lost jobs.
don't talk about sarah pal in parading her kids in front of the media, we've paid for an expensive trip for obama's kids and wife to go to England so the girls could meet the cast of harry Potter. It cost this country over a half a million dollars for her to go on this separate trip with her kids counting the jet, security, hotels, etc. we also see obama's girls with their dad all the time, why don't you complain about that? also let's not forget Michelle's mom is living at the white house. Do you think she is paying rent, reimbursing the tax payers for her 3 squares a day, transportation to her doctor visits, hair appointments, clothing, etc? give me a break,
